The Pickett family has owned property in the Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe area since the early 1970s, and our family made this community our home in 1975. I graduated from Port St. Joe Hogh School in 1979 and, after college, returned home in 1982.

I have been involved in our Cape San Blas family businesses for most of my life. Over the years, my experience has included real estate development and construction, vacation rental management, and ownership of the Cape convenience store, "Scallop Cove" for a number of years.  I became a licensed real estate agent in 1982, a real estate broker in 1992 and took over our family's Real Estate and Vacation Rental businesses in 1997.

Having spent more that five decades in this area, I have watched Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, and the surrounding communities grow and change. More importantly, I know this area not simply as a real estate market, but as my home.

As a husband and father of five children, I believe strongly in conducting business with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing what is right for the people who place their trust in me.

I have never considered myself a salesman. My job is not to sell you a piece of property. My job as a real estate broker is to give you the knoledge and information you need to make an informed decision about whether a property - and this area - is right for you and your family.

Sometimes that means helping you find the right property. Sometimes it may mean advising you that a particular property isn't the right one. Either way, my responsibility is to give you the benefit of my experience and an honest opinion so that you can make the decision that is best for you.
